Streaming Schedules

Keep your community informed with organized streaming schedules. Explore M0XY's planned tools for multiple creators, recurring stream times, and customizable Discord schedule embeds.

Development Notice

M0XY is in development and is not yet available for public installation. Streaming Schedules are a planned feature. This guide explains the intended experience and general Discord requirements; commands and controls will be documented when implemented and tested.

1. Overview

M0XY's planned Streaming Schedules feature is intended to help Discord communities share regular broadcast times in an organized, easy-to-read message. A schedule could help members find upcoming streams without scrolling through multiple announcements.

Planned capabilities

  • Customizable weekly streaming schedules.
  • Support for multiple creators in a Discord server.
  • Formatted schedule messages using Discord embeds.
  • Recurring days and time slots.
  • Editing schedule details when stream plans change.
Feature status

Streaming Schedules are planned for M0XY. The final commands, dashboard controls, scheduling automation, and update behavior have not yet been implemented or verified.

2. Required Permissions

For a schedule embed to appear in a Discord channel, M0XY will need appropriate permissions in that channel.

PermissionWhy it matters
View ChannelAccess the schedule channel.
Send MessagesPost the schedule message.
Embed LinksDisplay a formatted schedule embed.
Read Message HistoryMay be needed if the finished feature edits a previously posted message.

The final permissions required to manage schedules inside M0XY will be documented after the feature is built and tested. Server administrators should restrict schedule editing to trusted members or approved creator managers.

3. How Streaming Schedules Work

The intended experience is to configure a schedule once, publish it to a chosen channel, and update the information when a creator changes their plans.

Proposed workflow

  1. Choose the Discord server and schedule channel.
  2. Add one or more creators.
  3. Enter each creator's recurring days and stream times.
  4. Choose how the schedule should appear in a Discord embed.
  5. Review the schedule and confirm the correct time zone.
  6. Publish the schedule and update it as needed.
Setup steps are provisional

This workflow describes the product goal, not currently available M0XY slash commands. Exact controls and steps will be added once the feature is tested.

4. Multiple Creators

Communities may have several streamers who broadcast independently. The planned schedule feature aims to make it possible to organize their usual streaming times in one place.

Information to consider for each creator

  • Display name or creator label.
  • Streaming platform and public profile link.
  • Typical stream days.
  • Start time and time zone.
  • Optional notes, such as the games they usually play.

Whether creators will use separate embeds, a combined embed, or both is still being decided. TikTok account authorization and LIVE alerts are separate planned integrations and should not be assumed to be required for a basic schedule.

5. Recurring Stream Times

Recurring schedules are useful for creators who stream at roughly the same times each week. A schedule can describe usual times without promising that every stream will happen exactly as planned.

Schedule detailExample
DayMonday, Wednesday, Friday
Start time7:00 PM
Time zoneEastern Time
NotesTimes may vary; check announcements
Time zones matter

Always identify the time zone for recurring schedules. Whether M0XY will automatically convert times for each viewer or handle daylight saving changes is not yet confirmed.

6. Schedule Embeds

A Discord embed can present a streaming schedule in a single, readable message. The planned M0XY feature aims to make the schedule look consistent with a server's branding.

Possible embed elements

  • A schedule title and short description.
  • Creator names and recurring days.
  • Stream times with a clearly stated time zone.
  • Optional platform or channel links.
  • Accent color, thumbnail, or banner image where supported.
  • A footer reminding members that schedules may change.

For general embed design guidance, see the Custom Embeds documentation. Automatic schedule message editing is a product goal and has not yet been confirmed as working.

7. Customization Options

The goal is to let server administrators tailor a schedule to their community instead of using a fixed message format.

Creator display namesShow who is streaming.Planned

Accent colorMatch server branding.Under consideration

These are design goals rather than a confirmed list of options in the current bot build.

8. Editing & Updating Schedules

Creators sometimes change their plans. A useful schedule should be easy to correct when a recurring time, creator, or channel link changes.

Recommended schedule maintenance

  • Review the schedule when a creator changes their usual stream times.
  • Mark special events separately from recurring times.
  • Keep the time zone visible.
  • Remove outdated links and inactive creators.
  • Post a separate announcement for cancellations or one-off changes when appropriate.
Editing behavior not yet confirmed

Whether M0XY will edit the original posted embed, replace it with a new message, or offer automatic synchronization has not yet been finalized.

9. Example Streaming Schedule

The example below shows how a community schedule could be organized. These are fictional creators and sample times, not an active M0XY schedule.

CreatorUsual daysStart time
Creator OneMonday / Wednesday / Friday7:00 PM ET
Creator TwoTuesday / Thursday8:30 PM ET

Times are estimates and may change. Follow each creator's announcements for the latest information.

10. Troubleshooting

I can't find a Streaming Schedule command

The feature is planned and may not yet be present in your M0XY test build. No public command name is confirmed.

The schedule embed is not visible

Once posting is supported, verify that M0XY can view the destination channel, send messages, and embed links. Check channel-specific permission overrides.

The times appear incorrect

Confirm the intended time zone, whether the times are recurring or one-time, and whether daylight saving time affects the schedule.

A creator changed their stream time

Update the source schedule when editing becomes available. Until then, use a separate server announcement to avoid sharing outdated information.
